NRA Instructor Courses
NRA Instructor Courses are in two parts.
Part One:
Basic Instructor Training
6 Hours
(Required for certification)
Part Two:
Discipline-Specific Training
9 to 14 Hours
We offer the Basic Instructor Training two times each year and the disciplines once each year, usually a different one each month, according to our NRA Course Schedule. Minimum - 3 students per class.Bring your NRA member number, a ring-binder, ear and eye protection, your firearm, ammunition and food for the day.
- Shotgun - 2 Boxes, Target Load
- Pistol - 50 Rounds
- Rifle - 100 Rounds .22 Ammo Min
- Personal Protection Inside The Home - 80 Rounds, Center Fire Rounds
- Personal Protection Outside The Home - 212 Center Fire Rounds
NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home
is now part of our training schedule. The prerequisites for this instructor course are:
- NRA Pistol Instructor
- NRA Personal Protection In The Home Instructor
- NRA Basic Personal Protection Outside The Home Course, Level 1 and Level 2
- NRA Personal Protection Outside The Home Instructor Course
It contains many different shooting techniques, including drawing from a holster. We provide NRA materials, law enforcement speaker, classroom and range. You should bring your firearm 206 rounds of ammo (min.) A strong side hip holster designed for your gun. Speed Loaders or magazines, concealment garment (shirt or jacket), knee pads, ear and eye protection, handgun owners manual, pen/pencil and note paper.
The Personal Protection Outside The Home Instructor Course runs 3 consecutive, 10 - hour days.
Each day begins at 8 AM.
The cost of this 3-day course is $350.
